I seem to be able to go sugar free for 2 weeks and then my cravings go mad and I fall back into bad habbits and it just cycles and it grates on my nerves every time i realise. So the truth is that there is no miracle pill for anything in life, you need to actually have some self discipline. Going off sugar isn’t easy at all and it’s coming from someone who’s a hoe for sweets so I know what I’m sayin. If you ditch sugar all together without no hidden treats in your cupboard it’s gonna be easier to stay on track without temptation and you need to keep that self discipline up to allow your brain to detox from sugar, later on the withdrawal syndrome will go away trust me. However, there are also healthy ways to satisfy ones sweet tooth, you can use no sugar sweeteners like xylitol or erytrol, they’re good for cooking so you may use them for pancakes for an example, and while you’re at it get yourself some coconut flour bc it’s relatively low in carbs, rich in fiber, it’s really good for you man. Also if you ditch sugar all together you will be able to appreciate the natural sweetness of fruit more so they can be a treat, it’s always better to snack on fruit if you want some sweetness as fruit provides fiber. Fruits are a natural source of fructose tho so you don’t wanna overindulge on those too bc you might as well be eating table sugar and table sugar is only half fructose so it’s actually only half as bad. Fiber is good tho, its important for your guts so munch on an apple or a banana if you feel a crave for sweet. You’ll make it if you put some self discipline to it man, challenge urself.
